Kaikoura 27 to 29 Nov 2004 We rolled Henry off the ferry in Picton to head to Kiakora, after a few days of walking & watching NZ beat France, we headed down to Christchurch.

Christchurch 29 Nov to 1 Dec 2004
An English city - cathedrals, a river called Avon and Wizards(?)... Home to the 'Holy Grail' an impressive tavern dedicated to showing lots of sport and feeding lots of poor people pizza and wine.
Christchurch is a pretty nice city, not too much hustle and bustle - but def has the English feel everyone goes on about. No one going 'cor blimey gov' on street corners though - shame.

Long drive to Queenstown

Queenstown 1 to 6 Dec 2004

Queenstown is a great place. Met Sean who used to work in Kelly's Corner - just slightly surprised to see us!

The rest of the weekend was spent mainly in pubs - including the fantastic Minus 5 Ice Bar - where we rocked in big coats, hats, gloves & cocktails in glasses made of ice.
