It was March & Jim & I fancied a trip to somewhere different. Snowdonia was chosen !. For some reason I still wanted a bit of a linear walk & Jim didn't fancy carrying a pack of any size. So we compromised and did a bit of both.
On our first trip out we decided the mist was coming down fast & we decided to come down the side of Tryfan equally as fast on a path called the 'Honey flower' or some such name. I caused the ball of my foot to split & Jim still has the ankle injury to this day. >>> That will teach us to go up big hills.
We stayed at Idwal Cottage & then Capil Curig Youth Hostels, we then went on to LLaberis YHA, where a  female undergraduate from Oxford asked to join us on our great trip up Snowdon the next day (Same as TLJ...she felt safe with us!)...As it turned out she was a regular climber of mountains & knew where she was going so we didn't have the usual moments of ' Navigational Calibration'.

A great trip out, good company & my views of hill walking are unaltered>>> A questionable pastime, with few coffee shops, never mind SB's.
