Fort William to Inverness 117km/73 miles

With Stuart acting as our driver John, Jim & myself set out from the end of the West Highland Way...We were  glad to say the signage had been improved since our last visit.

The Great Glen Way had just been announced as a new LD footpath & we were game to try it as an alternative route to the top of Scotland. On reflection it was a little 'Sammie' ...but I do remember two good youth hostels, or was it we didn't have to carry a pack with Stuart doing his good work as a driver. John had to give up on the last day through injury & this left Jim & I to find our way to Inverness... For myself, I think this route is on the list of 'seeing' rather than ' Going to see' .
