Cowes to Cowes  104km/ 65 miles >>> our variant !

To misquote the football manager...this is a journey of two halves. Both completed from Jim's boat that was  moored in Cowes + the local bus service, which was surprisingly efficient. The first visit we walked from Cowes to Bembridge & also a circular walk to Newport to eat excellent strawberry tarts from a French type cafe outside in the town square

The second half we completed the rest in a mixture of weathers, the walk from Yarmouth to Cowes convinced me I required quick drying walking trousers, mine weren't & they didn't. We also ran out of time & missed out the Needles going from Freshwater bay to Yarmouth...but we made up in straight mileage terms by doing the extra bit to Newport... which is not on the official plan..... but we shall return !

Good company & conversation, pleasant walk in places, but the Island somehow did not live up to my expectation, what ever that was.
