Aldea del Cano to Caceres 23Km

The scenery was 'similar' to the previous days....perhaps with more hills thrown in at the end.

The lunch stop village threatened to be closed on Mondays....and it was. So we replenished ourselves on some questionable factory made chocky buns at the petrol station.

Caceres was a delightful place, probably the biggest since Seville. For two evenings we soaked up the atmosphere, even if finding good food at the right time was a little challenging.

The old town is steeped in history... for more info follow the link  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C%C3%A1ceres,_Spain

So that's it, another part of the journey complete. I had reasonably low expectations about the scenery and occasions I was pleasantly surprised, at other times the view just about  met  my low expectations. Tomorrow the train to Madrid and home by air.

Obviously I was disappointed to finish the trip early, it was the right decision.... but as Arny' would say........ 'I'll be back'
