Today we had a cunning plan. (Aside from the 'Jolly Jape' of moving the directional arrow around....we did leave it in the right place....honest) The accommodation in Aldea de whatsit was a bit limited, so we planned to walk there, then get a Taxi to Caceres....then catch a bus back on the morrow to begin the walk where we left off. The other good bit of news is we found a bar half way through the morning for coffee.... and the weather improved to be sunny and warm.

After coffee we found ourselves on the Via de la Plata which had been excavating, along with Roman marker posts. The route was straight and clear all the way passed the village.

On reaching Aldea del whatsit we found an outside bar in the square. The local 'soak' was very helpful in finding a Taxi. To pass the time waiting for its arrival we watched the storks on the church opposite the bar.
