After a CCL + C & ZN (see previous trips to get the abbreviations sorted out ) at a bar by the hotel. I left bright and early.....the sun does not come up until 7.45. The hinterland to the city is OK. I was to enjoy a coffee in a village mid morning, later on I realised this was an unusual 'thrill' that was not going to happen again for a long time.

The warm afternoon was spent walking down a long.....hard surfaced track, with the exception of a ford you could say it was a tad boring, but being the first day it did not matter, and the spring flowers were cheerful.  The night was spent in a grim bar / hotel. The municipal alburge was full....only 8 beds and the 'new' building did not look as though it had been touched for a few years. The 'Pilgrim' meal lived up to my low expectations.

Guillena was my first small town in this part of Spain. The houses were mostly white and it boasted three flood lit football pitches.
