Another day, another glorious sun rise, one of the great benefits of walking before daylight. Also a big grape 'sampling' session. Today I only have a short distance to walk and I arrive in Najera by 10.30. I have to say a disappointing place except for it's monastery, but perhaps I hold to much expectation for what is essentially a very small town. However I find a good CCL + SB in a bar, I also meet Dara who is having treatment for his feet. I invest 3Euros and visit the monastery, lovely place, oozing history.

After my visit it is out into the vineyards again, I reach Azofra mid afternoon. The Albergue is made up of two-man rooms.... I am sharing a room with Philip an Englishman who is in the fortunate position of being between jobs, we share a beer and join up in the early morning to walk together. An interesting guy and good company.

The bad news is I drop my camera when it is in my 'man bag' with my notebook on a stone floor. I realise my zoom is very stiff but only when I get my images on my computer at home do I realise 60% are out of focus... bxxxxr!
