At the risk of
being drummed out of the Boy Scouts, in my world visiting gardens is
on the same level as watching paint dry, just a green paint. Our
visit to Chapel Hill Botanic Gardens was a big delightful surprise,
as there was an exhibition amongst the plants of great and dare I
say it, affordable sculpture.
After seeing the impressive bit of sculpture in the university
gardens at the start of the trip (detail above and side) and the memorials in
Washington I was now used to looking at good, exciting, high quality stuff.....
A fun couple of hours...... PS
